Leider gibt es nicht in jedem Hotel ein japanisches Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck, aber im Hotel Nikko konnten wir nicht nur japanisch fr\u00fchst\u00fccken, es war sogar auch noch besonders lecker und abwechslungsreich.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Hotel Nikko liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Kanazawa<\/a> entfernt und bietet einen wirklich guten Service. Neben einem \u00fcppig arrangierten Wartebereich im Erdgeschoss sind in den obersten Etagen (29. und 30. Etage) die \u00fcblichen Bars mit genialem Ausblick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was uns aber noch besser gefallen hat war der Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksbereich im 6. Stock, in dem man ein Japanisches Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck einnehmen konnte. Manche Gerichte bekam man serviert, und wem das nicht ausreichte, der konnte am gro\u00dfen Buffet noch aus einer Vielzahl an Fisch, Fleisch und Gem\u00fcse w\u00e4hlen. Hier wird man garantiert satt!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der kleine Innengarten war ein sehr nettes Detail – wenn man zu ihm hin\u00fcberblickte, hatte man schon vergessen, dass man eigentlich im 6. Stock sa\u00df. Und dazu gab es nat\u00fcrlich noch den \u00fcblichen hervorragenden japanischen Service. Am Eingang wurde man standesgem\u00e4\u00df von einer Dame im Kimono begr\u00fc\u00dft. Wer m\u00f6chte da schon ein europ\u00e4isches\/ britisches Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck vorziehen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit dem Thunderbird nach Kyoto<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Mit dem „Thunderbird“<\/a> ging es dann weiter nach Kyoto. Den „Thunderbird“ habe ich schon 2002 genutzt<\/a> – den Namen konnte ich mir gut merken, auch wenn der Grund ein wenig kompliziert ist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In den 1960er Jahren gab es eine TV-Serie mit Marionettenfiguren namens „Thunderbirds“<\/a>, die in Gro\u00dfbritannien sehr popul\u00e4r war. Einen Sprachsample, n\u00e4mlich „Thunderbirds are go!“<\/a> verwendete die Band Bomb the Bass<\/a> in ihrem stilpr\u00e4genden Kulthit „Beat Dis!“<\/a> aus den sp\u00e4ten 1980er Jahren. (Hier ab ca. 0:15<\/a> in YouTube) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OK, ich gebe es zu, meine Hirnverwindungen sind manchmal merkw\u00fcrdig. Und mit dieser Bahnfahrt endete die erste H\u00e4lfte unseres Urlaubes, die von vielen l\u00e4ngeren Zugfahrten gepr\u00e4gt war, denn f\u00fcr den Rest des Urlaubes blieben wir in Kyoto und fuhren nur noch k\u00fcrzere Strecken mit dem Zug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00dcbrigens kann man Kanazawa von Kyoto aus in guten 2 Stunden erreichen. Daher w\u00e4re beim n\u00e4chsten Mal ein Tagestrip von Kyoto aus durchaus eine \u00dcberlegung wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
